Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Ben Dor is a Physics Ph.D. and a graduate of the highly prestigious “Talpiot” academy of the Israeli Air Force with experience in the Electro Optics field since 1988, both in the defense and in the medical device industries. In his recent job, Dr. Ben Dor was the general manager of a startup company (Medibell Medical Vision Technologies Ltd.) in the field of ophthalmic digital photography leading it through finishing of prototype R&D, beta testing, production setup and sales and marketing network development. Prior to Medibell Dr. Ben Dor served for a short period as the director of marketing in Medibell’s mother company, CMT Medical (OEM producer of digital X-ray for Toshiba Medical). Dr. Ben Dor gained his international marketing experience as the vascular program director in the marketing department of ESC/Sharplan, an Israeli based worldwide leader company in the field of medical lasers, building worldwide net of reference sites for sales support, conducting clinical studies and producing successful marketing campaigns.
Nancy Jean Barnabei
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Barnabei has over 22 years of finance and accounting experience with both public and private companies in the biotechnology industry. She has served in senior financial positions with several emerging companies in which she played a key role in fundraising and the transition to executing growth strategies. Most recently, Ms. Barnabei served as VP Finance for GenSpera, Inc., where she was responsible for financial and administrative matters, SEC reporting, and fundraising activities. Previously, Ms. Barnabei served as Chief Financial Officer of Immune Control, Inc. and its successor company, Corridor Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a drug development company. She founded Talkeetna Advisors, LLC in 2005, a consulting and advisory firm specializing in biotechnology companies, where she provided guidance on a variety of matters including strategic planning, budgeting, accounting, cash flow management, equity compensation, employee benefits, and raising of capital. From 2000 − 2004, she was Vice President Finance, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer at Locus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Her previous experience includes eight years at Cephalon, Inc., concluding as Corporate Controller. Ms. Barnabei earned a BS in business administration from Northeastern University, Boston, and is a certified public accountant.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Ms. McDonald has worked in the field of medical device sales and sales management for 30 years. During that time she has played a key role in several medical device start-up companies. In 1992, Ms. McDonald was hired at Pyxis Corporation as one of the early stage sales associates. Pyxis Corporation went on to reengineer medication distribution in the acute care market and was eventually sold to Cardinal Health for $980 M in 1995. Following Pyxis, Ms. McDonald joined Aspect Medical Systems and held roles of increasing responsibility over her 12 year tenure. Ms. McDonald’s final position at Aspect was the Vice President of Corporate Accounts, she managed OEM product launches with GE Medical, Philips Healthcare and other patient monitoring companies. Aspect was successful in changing the way anesthesia providers manage medication delivery during surgery. Aspect Medical was acquired by Covidien in 2009. Recently, Ms. McDonald was the Vice President of Sales at Cheetah Medical, Inc. the inventors of a non-invasive hemodynamic monitor. At Cheetah, she was responsible for the US commercial efforts including the launch of a dedicated US sales team and defining market strategy. Ms. McDonald holds a Business degree from Western Michigan University.
Vice President of International Sales
Mr. Ben Dor has an MBA from INSEAD, and has a strong international experience as a former diplomat with 5 languages and years of living and working in Asia and Europe. Mr. Ben Dor has proven record in Sales and Distribution Channel Management and profound understanding & experience in building strategic relations with big multinational firms. In his recent position as the director of sales in Russia for Kodak Graphic Arts he grew annual sales from €12M to €60M within 3 years.
Vice President for Research and Development
Mr. Solt is an Electrical Engineer who has been working in electronic equipment development since 1976; Most of that time has been in medical electronic devices development and the balance has been in military and commercial communications. Prior to joining InfraScan, Inc., Mr. Solt was the VP of Manufacturing and R&D with Valley Forge Scientific Corp., directing the research team and leading the manufacturing team. Before that, Mr. Solt founded Omnitronix, a solid state AM Broadcast transmitter manufacturer. Mr. Solt holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Engineering.
